Actors needed for a staged reading for Tomorrow’s Gold! New Work Series Lines will not be memorized. Script will be in hand with minimal movement.

"LOVERS AND THIEVES" By Sem Megson

The play is a comedy in two acts, with 3F, 2M

Synopsis: Two white-collar criminals arrive at an upscale dating service with plans to pull an Identity Theft. But the owners of the dating service, who are fighting over the use of DNA to matchmake couples, and a techno-geek looking for love have plans of their own. The full-on battle that ensues for the supreme use and abuse of information explores whether we've moved beyond the Information Age to the Disinformation Age.

Rehearsal: July 26, 12- 5PM, midtown
Reading: July 31, 7PM, space from 6:30 - 9:30pm)

SHILLY: F, 30s, a co-owner of Amherst Matchmaking.
KADEN: M, 30s, a co-owner of Amherst Matchmaking and Shilly’s husband.
RIDDI: F, 40s, a white-collar criminal.
BARTON: M, 30s, a techno-geek.

A year after the Bharata war. 5 women: queens, mothers, wives come back to the battlesite to remember the soldiers that fought for justice and peace. Their memories include a myriad of emotions as they deal with grief in their own ways...while we learn about the classic masterpiece, The Mahabharata. This world premiere play will include dance and music! 5 female roles, additional dance roles. Rehearsals begin in September, Performances for 1 week in October, possible extension.
